P16 Curriculum



The curriculum in Post 16 is centred on the needs of the individual student. This is to provide the foundations to provide opportunities to enable our young people to be independent in their lives and in the world of work.  In total there are 4 different curricula running currently, they are:

 ·        Clee Group- Skills for Life, Duke of Edinburgh (Bronze) and core subjects are delivered functionally and are not seen as discrete subjects. Students also attend Dudley College to further complete social enterprise.

·      Bredon Group – 50% Employment skills with 50% Skills for Life. Core subjects are delivered through the Open College qualification and 1-day work experience, with students also attending Dudley College.

·      Snowdon Group – Students attend College alongside 1-day work experience. Students also support and lead on community projects and undertake Duke of Edinburgh (Silver and Bronze) and Foundation Learning (BTEC Level One Qualifications such as Sport and Leisure, Art and Design, Performing Arts, and Business Administration including English and Maths).

·      Nevis Group – Transition group to employment – Students undertake Supported Internships including Vocational Studies and English and Maths.
