About The Westminster School

Voiceover:

The Westminster School caters for pupils with moderate learning difficulties, plus additional needs for pupils aged 7–19 years.

We offer our pupils a broad and balanced curriculum, whilst aiming to meet their individual special educational needs. The school is committed to equal opportunities, and all pupils are expected to leave school with accredited qualifications. Preparation for life takes on a more prominent role as pupils progress through the school. At all times they are expected to work and behave responsibly, showing respect and consideration for others.

Our latest Ofsted inspection (2013) reported that we are a Good School, with many strengths including quality of teaching and learning, behaviour and safety. The school governors, acting head teacher and senior leaders of the school are all good.

Our new state-of-the-art school building at Rowley Regis offers outstanding facilities for our pupils. We are co-located with St Michael’s C.E. High School and Whiteheath Education Centre. This enables us to make the best uses of resources available and to share appropriate inclusion opportunities.

The success of a school lies in the successes and achievements of its pupils. We provide your child with a high quality, enjoyable education, working towards excellence for all.
