The register is a database that holds information about children and young people, aged 0 – 25 years, who have a disability or special need living in Sandwell. Each authority is required under the Children Act 1989 to have a Register and this is strictly confidential and subject to the strict requirements of the Data Protection Act

What are the benefits of joining the register?

• You will receive an information pack providing information specific to parents/carers of children and young people (0 – 25 years) with disabilities and/or additional needs in Sandwell

• Receive information about services, events and activities etc available locally in Sandwell and nationally that we feel might benefit you and/or your child.

• Help us to ensure we are providing and developing the right services for children with a disability and/or additional needs in the Sandwell area

Do I have to register my child?

No, the register is parent led, it is your choice whether or not to register your child.

How do I register my child?

If you are the parent of, or have parental responsibility for, a child or young adult with a disability and/or a special need who would like to join the Register please contact:
